Standard therapy sessions (50 mins) are $240 per session. If you obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP you may be provided with a Medicare rebate of $141.85 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Clients without a Mental Health Care Plan will be charged the full session fee. Many private health funds also offer rebates for therapy with a clinical psychologist. Please check with your health fund to see whether you are eligible for a rebate. Typically, health funds do not require a referral from a GP for clinical psychology consults and you can claim these using the invoice from your consultation.
